TPX News: tropextrakt at PLMA 2019 – Innovative think tank as an opportunity generator for bottlers

Frankfurt, 11 April 2019. Innovative and full of ideas, tropextrakt will present its solutions for the beverage market at this year’s PLMA, the world’s largest trade show for private labels. With its selection of exquisite raw ingredients made from exotic fruits and its many services, the Frankfurt-based company will inform beverage bottlers on exotic trends, helping them follow the great demand in this sustainably, dynamic market environment. tropextrakt’s ideas and products are designed to support bottlers in expanding their activity fields and product portfolios in these promising times.

“Your Lab” introduces promising taste trends, fine raw ingredients made from exotic fruits, and creative recipes

“Rose & Mary high on Yuzu” is the name of the finely nuanced soft drink specifically created for PLMA by tropextrakt. It is a vivid example of how exotic ingredients and innovative recipes can make for wonderful taste sensations. The Frankfurt-based importer of exotic specialities and niche products has developed many recipes of this nature for clients from the food industry in recent years, but also for a large number of fast-growing start-ups. Its customer base increasingly also includes bottling operations throughout Europe. “Bottlers are facing completely new challenges these days, but also great opportunities”, says Ingo Kniepert, CEO of tropextrakt GmbH, “and we are happy to serve as an experienced interlocutor.”

To this end, tropextrakt will be introducing exotic flavors with great trend potentials at the PLMA. Yuzu, for example, whose flavor is combined with rosemary in “Rose & Mary high on Yuzu”, is an Asian lime species that has long remained an exclusive reserve of award-winning cuisine in Europe. Its rich aroma profile is increasingly refining many innovative products in the food and beverage industry.

The exotic calamansi also has a great chance of succeeding in the market. The small citrus species with its varied flavor nuances of mandarin, bitter orange, lime, and pink grapefruit even made it into the Washington Post’s list of the 100 most important trends for 2019.

Individuality informs bottlers and exotic beverage developers

tropextrakt will receive its visitors in an exhibition stand designed as a cross between a laboratory and nightclub. The product development team of the Frankfurt-based company will be offering individually developed and freshly mixed drinks at a large bar counter. Besides smoothies and natural soft and juice-based drinks, these will also include the growing group of trending beverages such as natural energy or wellness drinks. The beverage bottlers can also taste a range of exotic trends.

This trade show concept stands for the individual approach that characterizes the entire consultancy and development process. The company supports its clients from the idea through to the bottling of new drinks. Here we draw on our extensive experience in terms of which exotic flavors harmonize well with established ingredients, as well as our knowledge on which trends dominate the European and global beverage market. In addition, tropextrakt’s services also include client support from our in-house quality management department, e.g. for the documentation.

From 2 p.m. on both days of the trade fair, tropextrakt will be inviting interested visitors to also taste its exotic recipes in the form of cocktails.
